Try the Zerox omlette, it is sublime!!

So good, worth the wait if there is a bit of a lineup. Considering the portion size it is also a quite decent value. My personal favourite is the Apples Charlotte, with a side of fruit.

the veggie burgers and smoke salmon omelets are fantastic and the portions are big enough for two people making it a very reasonable price. The only problem I have with the place is the line ups to get in because it is so popular. Get there before it opens.

Excellent food, excellent service considering how busy it always is, and I always make sure to go there atleast once whenever I am in Victoria.

This restaurant / cafe is amazing!

FANTASTIC FOOD (quality and portions), GREAT SERVICE (attentive and friendly), FAIR PRICES - the three most important ingredients for a successful restaurant! I have brunch at the FOX once a week, whether I need it or not. My absolute favourite is the lox omelette followed by the Moroccan Chicken Quesadilla. Unfortunately, too many people agree with me and there is always a line-up. - Bill

Best food fare for your dollar. great service and pies.

I went there with 4 other people, And yes there was a line up. But that is what you get when you are so popular.
We waited sometime for a table, but it was worth it. The food was great! I tried most of my friends good as well, and enjoyed it very much.
I love the atmosphere of the place, and everyone was pleasent. I'll for sure go there again when i visit Victoria next.

Best Hollandaise sauce that I have ever had. Head and shoulders above the rest. Expect line-ups for Sunday Brunch.

I've had the privilege of eating at this restaurant three times in the space of a month, and each time was a never-to-be-forgotten culinary treat. Good food, great portions, and excellent ambience. Patience is required as you wait to be seated. Remember this is a small dining space and waiters are constantly moving around tending to customers's needs.

My traveling companion and I happened to stumble across this cafe when visiting Victoria. Amazing food! I had the veggie burger and it was delicious! I can't stop thinking about it! The atmosphere was relaxed and the staff was so helpful! We asked for directions and they all came out to help us figure out where we were going! I can't wait for my next visit to Victoria, so I can stop by the Blue Fox Cafe!

I'm very disappointed and even a bit upset to find that for a twenty dollar something bill I gave them $4 tips and that's not enough for them, they actually charged my credit card by $2 more without my authorization. This is very dishonnest. I requested my credit card company to dispute, not for the sake of the $2, but for the justice.

Service was okay. The food was BLAND BLAND BLAND! The yolk was cooked so little it was cold. The toast was bland and the orange spread was bland also. The bacon had been cooked hours ahead of time by the looks of it and then reheated. The roast potatoes were way to big and more for dinner then breakfast. They also had NO FLAVOUR! This was one of the worst breakfasts I have ever had. I WILL NOT BE BACK!

i love the blue fox. the food is delicious and the service was very pleasant but not overdone. i heard some people getting mad about how long they waited in line but they have eyes and can see the line and if they dont want to wait , they dont have to. Same thing about the food wait. if there is that many people in the restaurant the food won't come RIGHT away. the employees seems to deal with the stress well and the best bennys in the world.

GREAT FOOD WORTH IT AFTER A LONG LINE UP. eVERYTIME WE GO, WE HESISTATE BECAUSE OF THE LINE UP. WELL IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!

Yes, the service is REALLY slow, but if your looking for the best omlette outside of Montreal then go to Blue Fox Cafe. Its a trade off of service for great food.

Had been to the Blue Fox in the past and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Went there today (July 13th, 2007 - party of 2) and found my cutlery to be dirty. Told the server who brought a new fork without an apology or explanation. My girlfriend had a look at her fork, same thing - still had food on it. Received water from server, both glasses had floating debris on the top and my glass also had lipstick on it. We concluded if the simplest things in a cafe can't be clean, then what are they doing to the food in the back? We left - and likely will not return.

The food is usually really good. I find the brekky potatoes the one negative foodwise. The service is absolutely HORRENDOUS. You can stand at the door for 10 minutes while servers move about the restaurant pretending they don't see you when there is clearly about 4 tables open. The food takes forever, as do the servers to actually come to your table and give you a menu. But again, the food is usually pretty good.

Moroccan Chicken Quesadilla was the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Can't stop dreaming about it.

I have only been once after my fiance raved about how good it was and let me tell u i was happy, i loved the hashbrowns and couldnt have been happier with the portions.my only complaint was the coffee to strong i had to mix it with water and i like my coffee. none the less blue fox is great would go again any time....on the side note i only waited about 10 mins but for people who havent been the reason the wait is so long is because of how great it is people who dont wnat to wait dont know what they r missing

The Blue Fox Cafe is the best breakfast you can have that isn't delivered to you in bed by your lover.

Well, after waiting 35 minutes to get in, we waited 15 mins to get menus, thenanother 20 for our drinks,so to start id say the service was terrible,
Now after wasting allready an hour of my day i had the big breakfast an we shared the french toast.eggs came dirty and over cooked, potatoes were soo bland, the wife had the rancheous, she liked it as she was looking forward to it even before we got in to the place.
French toast needs more flavour, again bland.
Overall kinda dissapointed, after all the hype about this place im not suprised it didnt do well in the best of victoria awards.

Delicious food. Large portions. The french toast with cream cheese and fresh fruit is excellent, as is bubbles and sqeak, a plate of potatoes and sauted veggies, topped with cheeses. I have been here numerous times and have not had something I did not like yet!

A co-worker told me about this restaurant and how good their veggie burgers where. So my husband and I decided to check it out one sunday. When we arrived there was a line up outside the door and it was about 20 mins b4 we finally got sitted. The food was OK. I liked that I could have a coffee with soy milk. BUT they're portions are not healthy nor are they enviromentally friendly. With a country so consumed by SUPERSIZING everything, while people in countries like Africa are starving to death, why do we need such large portions?

I asked for a veggie omelete and my hubby had eggs and sausage. I got a plate full of thickly chopped potatoes(the kind you'd eat for dinner, not breaky), a oversized omelette made for two and two pieces of THICK toast, caked in butter. Neither of us could stomach such a large meal for only the beginning of our day and ended up wasting half our meal. Half the omelette was really all that was needed to make my stummy content. So pretty much everything went to waste. This restaurant WASTES alot of food, it's over priced and always too busy. Clearly off my list of enviromentally and health conscious restaurants to visit in Victoria.

Generous portions, and fantastic food quality. I ordered the Lox Omelette, with smoked salmon, spinach, tomatoes, feta, and cream cheese. Excellent combination of ingredients, which deliciously blended in my mouth. The ingredients were not cooked into the omelette, but instead were layered inside the omelette, similar to a burrito. The gourmet coffee was also great. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The other four people I was with also had no complaints about their meals. You will want to get there early, as we waited for 20 minutes to get in. The place is a victim of its own success and it can get pretty crowded.
