I am not a sushi connaisseur, but I know when fish isn't at its freshest. My unfortunate experience at this restaurant not only left a bad taste in my mouth as did the poor service, I had to make several trips to the WC afterwards. I will not be returning again.

While the atmosphere was cozy, the food was mediocre and the service was very poor. It took several minutes for the waitress to bring water to the table and several more after that to have our order taken. In fact, we had to flag the waitress down! Won't be returning again any time soon.

I love this place, the food, the service, the jazz on the radio. What more could one ask for? Try their lunch specials

I have eaten at all the highly acclaimed sushi restaurants in Victoria, and Mutsuki-an is by far the most fresh, and best tasting.
