Have been to the cafe on many occasions, both in it's current location and at the small original spot a short distance away.
Never had a bad meal or service. It does get busy, so plan to arrive before you are starving! If you have to wait, check out Critter Corner or the craft store. We aim for the less busy times as much as we can.
Please drive carefully in Metchosin, there's a lot of wildlife crossing the roads.

Not a lot of healthy options. Very greasy breakfasts especially. Disapointed with their burgers and fries which seem premade/frozen. Long waits to be seated and they do not take reservations which is the main reason we don't go (we live down the road). Not a great wine or beer list. If all you want is pub style food, than I'd recommend going somewhere that at least has a good beer/wine list. Service is friendly and the menu is quite large. If I had to recommend an item on the menue it would be their lasagna.

Awesome Restaurant. I live in Port Angeles, WA and look forward to a nice restaurant when I come over to BC. I have never been disappointed. I recommend the Spinach salad and the Steak sandwich order both and split each with your partner. Perfect. Uh, sorry they don't have a celiac diet menu. I am not even going to bother looking that one up, if you have special needs order accordingly but don't expect the whole world to cater to yours. I'm special...I can't eat that. Waaaaahhhhh.

I've never had unpleasant food or service there, and the prices are great too (especially due to the fact that the portion sizes are -huge-!)

The best homemade cheesecake in the world exists here, and it makes for a great meal! The burgers and salads are all really big, really fresh, and really good. This place is awesome.

A fun, friendly place to eat that's way off the beaten track. Nice country feel. Good portions. Good prices.

We stayed at a B&B just down the road, Amore By The Sea and they highly recommend their guests eat there. We had a 20 minute wait but once we wre seated the service was great. When we go back to Amore we'll also be back to the cafe!

We went to this delightful restaurant Friday night april 11/08. Showed up about 630 pm. to a bit of a lineup. I was hungry and didn't want to wait the 30 mins. we were told. Well I'm glad we waited. The service was fast and excellent. The surroundings were awesome and we thought well thought out. The food (the rib and spagetti special$20.00) was excellent. I couldn't eat it all. The waitress checked by regularly, and we were delighted by the entire evening. The food portions are great value for the money, and delicious. My compliments the the chefs, the staff, and to the owners. You have worked hard to make a great out of the way restaurant. I will drive from beacon hill park area again to eat here. thanks.

We've been to the Metchosin area twice (stayed at Amore by the Sea), and we've never ventured anywhere else for supper. We find everything about the restaurant very pleasing. The food is excellent, service excellent and atmosphere excellent! Even though the line up looks to be long and they tell you that you will have a 45 minute wait, we've found that they underprmomise and overdeliver!! We've never waited that long. I would recommend it to anyone!! Kudos!

Ordered pizza and wings for delivery from them for supper tonight. After waiting an hour plus I decided to call them back. Apparently they were too busy to deliver to the Colwood area so they tried calling us and left a message on our answering service since we were on the phone. UNSAT as if we check our messages every five minutes. Now I have to make something as it is getting rather late and the whole family is hungry Tx for nothing.

The Mychosen cafe is my favorite restaurant I havent had a bad meal there yet!
you must be crazy if you complain about the meals.

A great restaurant, but could use some more healthy choices on the menu and celiac/gluten intolerant friendly menu items.

i LOVE this restaurant. my sister works there and has for years. cheap prices and lots of variety. huge portions! its my favourite and all of my friends favourite!

Been there a few times. Not great, not horrible. Would not avoid it, but would not make a special trip to visit again. Underwhelming.

I've enjoyed dinner at the My-Chosen on three occasions with my family and each time the food was great and the service was perfect. The menu is huge, the food is fresh, tasty and well presented and the portions are huge. The price is excellent making the My-Chosen great value for the money

i love the food there,but i think it could use a bit of work on the atmosphear...
